Fire Awareness Training:

Who should attend? – all staff
Duration – 2 hours approximately, depending on the numbers of delegates
Course content:
Introduction – fire risk and awareness
The fire triangle – essential components of all fires
Fire classification – by fuel groups
Fire fighting equipment – identifying the types and their characteristics

Fire Marshall or Fire Warden Training:

Duration – half day
Course content:
All the Fire Awareness Training course content, plus the following:
Responsibilities of the Fire Marshall or Fire Warden
Weekly fire appliance checks – plus annual inspections and maintenance awareness
Fire alarm testing and recording
Conducting fire drills
Promoting fire awareness
Evacuation – assembly points, role calling and visitors/contractors
Documentation – fire drills, alarm tests and appliance inspections/maintenance
Theory test
